Able To Perform got its title from the bookmark you see above. I received it from my grandparents on „Konfirmation“ (day of confirmation in the Lutheran church). It was inside a beautiful „Gesangbuch“ (Hymnal). The verse that is written on it is found in Romans 4:21 and for a long time it has just been another verse I only read while going through the Bible. A few years ago, though, this verse became so dear to me, a verse I cling to on many occassions.

Note, that it doesn‘t say that God will do/perform whatever we are asking Him to do. Rather, it says that, unlike many of us humans, God keeps the promises He has made.

and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. (NKJV)

If it would all depend upon us… our lives would be a mess. If we will go our own way and try to do things in our own strength we will eventually stumble and fall. I‘ve found this especially true during our homeschool years and ever since I started writing Christian fiction and non-fiction texts.
